setting up & applying
to apply, you will need to have an ooc journal with one in character post and one out of character post, both backdated so the friends page is not cluttered! we ask that you have the basic info for your character (name, age, date of birth, etc.) as well as their credits listed and a short bio or fact list (we won't be asking for a word count unless we see this being abused). we also ask that both entires remained friend locked to help alleviate anonymous harassment. limitations we're sticking with up to two characters per writer. we will not require you to inform us of having a second character but this could change in the future if we see it's being abused. we also will only allow two pb changes per character. credits we are a single claim/credit faux community and we are sticking with the five year rule for credits, as well as pbs, so please take that into consideration when picking your claim! whitewashing is strictly prohibited and we ask that you make sure you are not racebending your pb or the credits. we also will be allowing characters in who are not celebrities but work in the entertainment industry in some capacity. so agents, assistants, publicists, stylists, etc. are all welcome! if you have any questions about claims or a profession being allowed or not, please reach out to the mods. activity requirements we ask that you provide at least one substantial update a month (more than a singular instagram post) as well as do your best to be active amongst the friends page as there's going to be plenty of group activities to participate in. occasionally, we may also post activity checks and failure to check in with those could get you removed. characters added after the fifteenth of each month only have to intro and reply to comments and are not required to update the month they're added, unless they would like to!
off-site apps
we would prefer all ic activity to remain on insanejournal/in your journals so off-site apps like discord and wire are banned for ic use. extensions/hiatuses 72-hour extensions will be given on a case by case basis as we understand life can get busy sometimes and writing is not our first priority. hiatuses will also be granted on case by case basis and we do ask that you provide us with an estimated time you expect to return. if you're unsure, we'll grant a two week hiatus and check in with you if necessary. nsfw content/trigger warnings while this isn't a smut-centric comm, we do know it can and may be a subject that is approached. we ask that any nsfw or triggering content on the friends page should be put behind a cut and receive a 'nsfw' tag somewhere visible outside of the cut. the same applies to content that could potentially be triggering to another player. if you're unsure about content needing a tag or not, you can always reach out to the mods or tag it that way just to be on the safe side. bullying, harassment, etc. we have a zero tolerance policy for harassment/bullying, and require evidence of such if someone is to be accused of it. we expect our members to treat everyone with equal respect, and to be adults when handling ooc issues that are sensitive in nature. in addition, if any issues are brought to the mods, we will respond as soon as possible. the mods will do their best to verify information that we are provided with to ensure any actual issues are dealt with in the appropriate manner. breaking this rule could risk a warning or removal/ban from the comm. we also expect everyone to be as welcoming and inclusive as they can be. if we find out that there has been any discrimination, ic or ooc, against another member in the comm, based on race, religion, sexuality, gender identity, etc., that will result in an immediate ban if we deem it appropriate. |
